Mona Lisa Overdrive
Comments by: Alex Peguero

Angela Mitchell and Bobby Newmark return for more mystical confusion with the voodoo gods of the Matrix. As per Gibson's usual failed- romance style, Angela and Bobby are no longer an item. Bobby's in his own virtual reality and Angela's hooked on a designer drug. An interesting plot develops with outside agents trying to replace Angela Mitchell with a body-double and the voodoo gods trying to reach Angela's drug-altered brain. As an added bonus, Molly puts in an appearance with the Finn while babysitting the Angela Mitchell look-alike, Mona Lisa. It's good reading and pretty enthralling. Gibson does a good job of finally wrapping up the plot about the AIs, while leaving himself lots of room -- hell, a whole 'nother star system! -- for more stories.
